The Eastwood Securities Mortgage Fund as required by the Corporations Act, has lodged its Compliance Plan with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission. The Mortgage Compliance Plan sets out how the Fund will comply with the Corporations Act and how it intends to operate under its Constitution. A copy of the Compliance Plan is available free of charge from the office of Eastwood Securities.
The Compliance Plan identifies the specific responsibilities in relation to operation of the Fund, the valuation of property, reporting to investors, borrowings, the use of external service providers and safekeeping and inspection of records, disaster recovery plans and other matters.
A Compliance Committee has been established to monitor compliance with the Compliance Plan and report to the Directors of the Responsible Entity on a regular basis regarding adherence to the compliance plan, the Corporations Act and the Constitution. If the issues are not satisfactorily addressed by either Eastwood Securities or the Responsible Entity, the Compliance Committee is obliged to report to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission. Where a Compliance Committee member receives information regarding serious breaches of the Compliance Plan, Constitution or the activities of the Responsible Entity he or she has an obligation to report to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission in any event.
Eastwood Securities has appointed an internal Compliance Officer to report directly to the Compliance Committee in respect of the Eastwood Securities Mortgage Fund.
